An attitude that has been deeply rooted in our DNA since the very beginning – and one that makes us happy.

Since October 2024, we have sourced our chicken in Germany and Austria exclusively from ECC-compliant suppliers. This allows us to take responsibility for improved animal welfare in chicken farming and lead the way in the hospitality industry. Learn more

Because sustainability is close to our hearts, we have offered a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes since the very beginning – and we are constantly expanding our selection. Of course, all our sauces are vegan too. With a delicious choice of plant-based patties, we want to do our part and offer meat lovers a tasty alternative to animal products. In 2020, PETA named us the most vegan-friendly system restaurant for our vegan burger selection.

Because social, ecological and economic standards, stable minimum prices and improved living and working conditions matter to us, we use 100% Fairtrade-certified coffee beans and Fairtrade-certified cocoa for our hot drinks.
A LOOK INSIDE OUR RESTAURANTS

With wallpaper made from fragrant alpine grasses and larkspur petals, we are also taking a more sustainable approach to interior design, for example here in Erlangen. The natural surface by Organoid® has even received the Green Product Award.

In our burgergrills in Hanover and Erlangen, we use climate-neutrally produced, Cradle-to-Cradle-certified bio flooring. It is recyclable and contains a high proportion of rapidly renewable raw materials. It is also much gentler on the joints of our employees and guests. Step by step, we are contributing to a more mindful world.

Our takeaway packaging are made from PEFC-certified virgin fibre paper from sustainable forestry, with an inner PE coating. Production in Germany also ensures short transport routes and the lowest possible carbon footprint.

We stand up for seriously ill children and their families.
Together with nestwärme e.V., we are committed to inclusion and a society built on solidarity. The vision of nestwärme e.V. is to help chronically or terminally ill children, as well as children with disabilities, develop in the best possible way alongside their parents – and to give families the support they need in everyday life.

We support organisations such as ARTISTS FOR KIDS all year round and, with the active support of our guests and local burgergrills, fulfil numerous wishes for socially disadvantaged children every Christmas.
